This is a personal project of a fictional game.

I was imagining it would be fun to have a Darksiders game starring Strife in the same vein as first person shooter games Shadow Warrior and DOOM (2016). Below are some graphic design examples I concepted.

Below are some in-progress shots and sketches

To make the logo I first picked a group of fonts to narrow down the shape language I wanted. From there I did some paintovers of the fonts in Photoshop to find a direction. As you can see I settled on #2 with some of the elements from #1. I liked the direction of B for the subtitle, but it was pretty busy in this stage, so I tried to simplify it and reduce the amount of movement for more readability in the final version.

Reference

I pulled inspiration for the language of the sigils from gothic architecture and stained glass windows. There were such strong shapes there, I wanted to try and incorporate them some how into my designs. I also looked at old timey bonds with all of their filigree to inspire the language for buttons and menus.
